Petra Lutheran School gives students the opportunity to discover and grow in the grace and knowledge of Jesus as well as the beautiful world He blessed us to be in. This is accomplished through a variety of academic disciplines and growth experiences that are designed to encourage each and every child to achieve their full potential.
This school is owned and operated by Petra Lutheran Church, a member of the Wisconsin Evangelical Lutheran Synod. The school was established in 1985. Petra has a staff of qualified teachers who are certified by Martin Luther College and licensed to teach grades K-8 through the State of Minnesota.
Why Petra Lutheran School?
The school seeks to nurture young men and women who can become successful servant leaders in their communities.
We are are Christian in our identity; our academics strive to meet and exceed state standards; we are compassionate toward all who walk through our doors.
Petra strives to be an extension of the family. Our small class sizes (10-1 student to teacher ratio) allow our staff to know each student and their personal story. We work hard to provide a caring and nurturing environment that shows love, compassion, and grace to all.
Our small class sizes also enable our teachers to focus on purposeful differentiated instruction to meet the needs of each student. A further benefit of the combined classes is that students have the opportunity to learn from one another and grow together.
Petra takes numerous field trips throughout the year and offer multiple opportunities to work together on school-wide projects which build skills in the areas of teamwork and service.
